Ethyl Corporation

One of the unique qualities about Parks Duffey's work is that the history of a corporation or institution can be visually presented in a single painting. For example, the painting ofEthyl Corporation in Richmond, Virginia, which was originally commissioned to celebrate the opening of their new research facility, includes the rest of Ethyl's headquarters buildings as well as The Tredegar ( one of Ethyl's community interest projects ); the painting of theUniversity of Virginia School of Law includes all the homes of the Law School, from the Rotunda to the yet to be completed new law grounds, as well as, all of the deans from 1904 to the present.

Holiday greeting cards, note cards, postcards, brochures, lithographic prints as well as other commemorative items are made from Parks Duffey's paintings by his publishers, Hamlet Productions, for wide corporate use for communications or to give as gifts. The White House Historical Association, The National Republican Party, The Federal Reserve Bank, numerous schools, universities, corporations and museums are among his clients.
